Our breakfast series is back! The Trustbuilding Breakfast Series is where we have an opportunity to connect with the members of the Racial Trustbuilding group to discuss important issues affecting Troup County. We are welcoming back Pierluigi Mancini, Ph.D. to discuss "cultural competence." Last year we had a very engaging session that showed us the importance of accepting and respecting different cultural perspectives.

The concept of cultural competence embraces the following:

• Acceptance and respect for differences

• Continuing self-assessment regarding culture

• Attention to the dynamics of difference

• Ongoing development of cultural knowledge and resources
