Chalton Askew Receives the Jane Fryer Award 2022

The Jane Fryer Award was established in 2008 to recognize a member of the community who has gone the extra mile to get involved in programs and activities that benefit many.  The recipient must exemplify the dedication, work ethic, and community service that Jane Fryer demonstrated in her 35 years of serving Troup County as Chamber President.

After working a little over 30 years at Interface, Chalton decided to make a career change.  He became the executive director of Trustbuilding and started working to improve race relations in the local community.  Trustbuilding holds workshops, breakfasts with subject matter experts as speakers, and other events designed to bring the community together.

This year’s Jane Fryer Award recipient is Chalton Askew, Executive Director of Trustbuilding!

The award was presented to Bill at the Lagrange-Troup County Annual Meeting 2023 on January 13th at Great Wolfe Lodge.  The event was delayed one day because of a tornado that touched down in LaGrange on January 12th.
